Give Your Computer Its Vitamins: Loading Anti-Virus Software
No one likes getting a virus. Generally, there are no cures
for them, and they stick around for a long time. For the most
part, bodies can eventually fight them off; computers can't.
Computer viruses are nasty things that your computer can pick
up from sources such as the Internet or an incoming e-mail attachment.
They can range from mild to serious, but aside from following
common sense (like never opening an attachment sent from someone
you don't know), there's only one thing you can do to prevent
them: use anti-virus software.
Because there are always new viruses forming, it's important
to fortify your computer with the most up-to-date version of whichever
software you choose.
There are a few places to look for good software. Some programs
are free and you can download them; others come in the form of
a CD-ROM and can be bought.
Here are two of the best:

My favorite: Dr. Solomon's Anti-Virus. The latest version for
PCs is VirusScan 4; for Macs, it's Virex.
